I know they said in summer you would be able to buy additional slots for 10dollars, but has anyone heard any more news about when you can buy them?

Yes. Summer extends until September 23rd.

There are a couple of threads on this topic, but here goes.

I sent an email to ANet and they said further to the post on GW (April 20, 2006) their will be additional slots available for $9.99 later this summer. No word on official date and all they said was to keep an eye on the NEWS on GW.com.

I sent an email to them about this too and never got a reply. It just said someone will contact me soon (like two weeks ago) and I havent got a reply since... O well. At least I know wat their answer will most likely be so i can finally stop checking daily.
